From 2018 to 2025 I was an intrepid reporter working out of East Africa. For most of that time, I was the Chief Africa Correspondent for NPR’s The World, one of the largest international news radio program on American public radio. I also reported for Marketplace, BBC, The Guardian, and beyond.
